On a toasty July 11th over 50 cars gathered at the Auto Zone in Conover, NC to help celebrate the SEMA "Collector Car Appreciation Day."

SEMA is a national association that fosters a love for cars, trucks and SUVs. Each year they set up a nation wide celebration on the second Saturday of July to give the public a chance to see cars that they may not see otherwise. And to help keep the collector car hobby active.

Our celebration was held in the parking lot of the Auto Zone in Conover, NC. We had enough cars to fill two lots -- lots of British cars, a good showing from the Mustang club and a few other interesting auto also showed up. We even had one person who saw the group, while going for breakfast, that went back home and got his car and joined in.

We had our club tent set up at the entrance to the lot and that provided some needed shade on this very warm day (hey SEMA let's do this in October!) but everyone enjoyed the water we had for attendees and also the cool of the Auto Zone store.
There were lots of other stores in walking distance to the show and a 50's style diner for a good lunch. Thanks to all who helped with and participated in this event.
