November 12, 2019 Meeting

 

Call to order: Dean Sprague called the meeting to order at 6:45pm. There were 38 members present. Dean thanked Bobby and Sandy Cox for hosting the last month’s event at Hawk’s Hill, that was a huge success. Whenever we have to reserve a restaurant or event with numbers of attendees, please let those organizing the event know if you cannot attend. A new member, Don Green, from Lenoir, was introduced.

Officer reports: 

  • VP—David Poe—As of September, there were 80 memberships in the club. Patches, decals and hats were brought up and Dean is going to check into them.
  • Treasurer – David Diener--Current balance is $3,314.57.
  • Publications – Corky Guenther said Jim Stapleton sent him an article for the next
  • Events – Erik Jordan
    • November 16, 2019—Hickory Airport Fall Wings and Wheels Fly-In. Be there by 9:30am if you are showing your car. There will be a designated parking area for the cars.
  • Web Master- Kathy Ahrendt Will meet with those helping with the Christmas Party later in the meeting.
  • Old Business:

Daniel Boone Inn breakfast. Thanks to Vicki Outen for organizing the event on Saturday, October 26.

Motion was made to accept this slate of officers. Randy Wright approved and Gary Shaver seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.

At the Christmas Party the open slots will be discussed.

  • Christmas Party

      Auction items will be collected.

       Safe Harbor is the charity selected.  Ann Diener brought up Networx for consideration for next year.

         Kathy Ahrendt handed out invitations and will mail to those not in attendance.

          Kathy Ahrendt also handed out dues notices to those in attendance.

  • Mike Havlick spoke on “My Sprite Restoration.”

50/50 Drawing--$90.00 collected and winner Steve Monroe received $45.00.
